Bookkeeper – Full-Time
Position Overview
Sagium is in search of a Bookkeeper on a full-time basis. As an established professional in the industry, you bring a core base of strong bookkeeping knowledge in addition to accounting skills. As a successful candidate, you will collaborate to engage and assist various departments in adding value through adherence to policies and reporting standards. Key Activities
- Enter all transactions and accruals into the accounting system to ensure accurate bookkeeping
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of expenses and bank accounts
- Pay & issue invoices to supplies and customers in a timely matter
- Issue monthly financial records for the management team
- Ensures financial compliance with regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to ensure financial efficiency and cost-effective management of resources
- Coordinate internal and external audit workflows and deliverables
- Provide information to external accountants for the creation of financial statements
- Assist with tax document preparation
- Revenue calculation, commission + tracking and reconciliation
Behaviours, Skills, and Competencies
- Familiarity with the general principles of accounting and exposure to full-cycle accounting experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, or financing, and/or training and certification from Cdn. Institute of Bookkeeping.
- Strong understanding of month-end reporting procedures
- Team player with strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Excel is a must-have
- Experience and extensive knowledge with QuickBooks
