Associate Financial Advisor

Position Overview

As an Associate Financial Advisor, you are a key part of Sagium’s Wealth Advisory Team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing Sagium clients in providing high quality client service, and providing sound financial advice through a thorough discovery process in order to implement investment and risk solutions.

  • Develop partner-like relationships with the Wealth Strategist Team and Advisory Services Team that results in best-in-class business results.

Key activities

  • This position will provide proactive administrative and operational support to our existing client base and our team of Wealth Strategists.

  • Develop and maintain standardized Sagium proposals, portfolios, presentations and resource library.

  • Accountable for the ongoing retention of a defined group of existing clients.

  • Deliver excellent service supporting the generation of referrals from existing clients.

  • Perform ongoing fact finding to uncover growth opportunities, multi-generational opportunities, client goals and providing clients varying solutions to their planning requirements.

  • Portfolio analysis and monitoring.

  • Leverage technology to capture all activities, next steps, notes and tasks in Sagium’s CRM system, Salesforce to drive sales retention.

  • Coordinate all internal reports with the client service team to determine those clients requiring contact or additional attention.

  • A resource to Wealth Advisors for administrative completion of client solutions.

  • General client service administration for Sagium clients.

Behaviours, Skills, and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation

  • CFP designation; enrolled or prepared to enroll

  • 3 – 5 years of proven sales experience and knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM data entry (Salesforce is an asset)

  • Proven relationship management and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, driven and entrepreneurial and works well as part of a team

  • Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Attitude of accountability and ownership of work
